What we have to prepare…… Through endless process innovations, the Jeonbuk Fire Department is focusing its efforts on becoming a field-oriented organization for responding to emergencies in a swift manner. Under the ultimate goal of protecting the safety of Jeonbuk’s residents, the Jeonbuk Fire Department consists of a 119 rescue squad and medical crew, which are on standby 24-hours a day, and the Disaster Situation Room, which grasps field information, commands and controls the fire fighters in case of emergencies. The Jeonbuk Fire Department is prepared to protect people’s safety and minimize property loss in urgent situations where every second counts. By establishing a state-of-the-art IT network, it is leaving no room for error in the field and making sure that appropriate measures are taken against any type of accident, anytime, anywhere. By carrying out the types of accidents in each season in a systematic manner, it is focusing its efforts to prevent disasters from taking place, which ultimately will protect the lives and safety of the people. The Jeonbuk Fire Department has achieved the title of Clean Fire Administration by promoting a culture of integrity. It is leading the way to improving the quality of people’s lives and creating a local community of harmony by providing support and volunteer work for the people. It is making Jeonbuk a safer place by hosting various safety culture events that improve people’s safety awareness and it is carrying out up-close, field-oriented administration by the people. As cities become bigger, the types of disasters are becoming more diverse and complicated. The Jeonbuk Fire Department will prepare itself for various accidents as well as large, unpredictable disasters such as terrorist attacks, earthquakes and storm waves to uphold the safety of Jeonbuk in the future. Furthermore, the Jeonbuk Fire Department is striving to make Jeonbuk a safe place by improving the people’s safety awareness and creating a sense of sympathy among the people. As part of its efforts, it is allowing people to acquire basic fire safety knowledge and information through nationwide fire safety education programs. By providing various safety programs for youth, such as various fire safety activity experiences and fire safety education, the Jeonbuk Fire Department is focusing its efforts on improving children’s safety awareness so that they can protect themselves from the threats of fire and become the leaders of Safe Jeonbuk. The Jeonbuk Fire Department is focusing its efforts in training professional fire fighters that will protect the safety of Jeonbuk in the future with specialized education and training withthe knowledge and information era of the 21st Century. To provide fire services that satisfy the people, it is advancing toward the prominent future of Jeonbuk with endless efforts and a pioneering spirit.
